Tavares Strachan: ‘You Belong Here’ for Prospect.3 New Orleans

For the opening of Prospect.3 in New Orleans, Tavares Strachan mounted his 36 meter long glowing, pink neon "You Belong Here" on a barge cruising down the Mississippi River.
Commissioned by Franklin Sirmans, curator of contemporary art at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), this epic neon installation is Strachan’s largest to date and not surprisingly has been described as one of the “must see” projects by the New York Time’sT Magazine.
